Get Fast SEO Results With Article Marketing

I’m a full time online marketer who spends most of his time doing just three things: Creating blog posts (which usually link to a money making product such as Penis Enhancement Pills), writing articles which link to those blog posts (using tools such as Article Marketing Automation), and listening to The Beatles (yes I have Beatlemania and yes I ordered The Beatles box sets as soon as they were available.)

This article isn’t about the first and third activities, just the second. This approach works wonders for search engine optimization, in fact it’s just about the only tool I use for building links now and I find it quite effective.

First you need to look beyond the EZineArticles website, too many people think that is the only place you should submit articles to! I think that’s crazy. While I defintely use EZineArticles, I do not rely upon it. And I don’t think it’s really the best as far as SEO goes since their articles are not picked up by other sites very often. Instead I mostly rely upon article distributon websites.

The key with article distribtion is that they leverage your work. Instead of just getting an article up on one site, you can get your article up on many sites (even hundreds in some cases) and this means you can get links back on many sites with just one article!

If you know anything about SEO then you know the great importance of getting links on as many sites as you can, so I don’t think I need to explain why you would want these links back, I’m only seeking to show you the power of article marketing and why you should make it the main part of your link building strategy.

I think you can have great results by submitting two or three articles per week if you are using one of the best article distribution sites, and I do recommend that you use multiple services. You should never rely on just one source for your backlinks.

Maximizing SEO with Article Marketing

You can effectively maximize your site’s search engine optimization (SEO) by having your article marketing outsourced when you are trying to sell a service or product through the Internet.  SEO encompasses the steps for letting your website gain the best ranking that it could get for certain keyword searches in the results pages of the search engine.  If the URL site gets on the first page of the results, you have a good chance of being visited by the Web surfer.

Unique articles represent a low-cost method for gaining more traffic to your website, which in turn leads to a higher chance of being able to market your product or service.  One role of the articles is to let you put in the keywords and phrases that you have estimated to be those that a potential customer of your service or product will type in when he wants to search for your type of service or product.  In this manner, your site gets indexed by the search engine spiders and will be included in the list when the specific keywords and phrases that you have included in the articles are typed in by the Internet surfer.

An important step to take is that you submit your unique articles to the sites that collect them.  These particular websites have high rankings in the search engines and because your links are contained in the articles that you have submitted to them, their high rankings will pull up your ranking as you submit more and more articles to them and the number of backlinks to your site increases.

The second purpose of the articles is the natural generation of backlinks to your site.  Search engines, particularly Google, consider backlinks as an indicator of the popularity of your site.  Your ranking in the search engine results will rise as the number of backlinks from quality websites increases.  Also, you may gradually become an expert in your specific field as you get more and more articles published on those websites.  As a result, more and more people would want to create a link on their websites that is directed towards your site so that this will accelerate the growth of the the number of backlinks to you.

As you can see, marketing with articles on tap plays a key role in maximizing your SEO efforts.  And if you feel that you do not have enough time to write those articles, you can always depend on article writing services.  The prices offered for the quality articles are quite affordable.

Pages Linked From Your Distributed Content

In a recent article I wrote about the conflict we face in trying to meet two objectives in content marketing.  In a quick summary, the difficulty is that we frequently want to use links in our articles to our “money pages” for the purposes of optimizing for search engines, but the readers are not yet at the purchasing stage in terms of their mindset as they are busy gathering information (the reason they found our syndicated article)..  I pointed out that this is compounded by the marketing commandment that any effective page should satisfy the major goal of our website visitor–at that time.

My purpose was to bring the inherent conflict to the attention of article marketers.  With this article, I’ll try to bring some resolution to the dilemma.

Two ways to solve the problem present themselves.  One is to violate the rule of website design by letting our linked page offer two alternatives (both learning more and buying) for our readers who click through.  Another solution to our dilemma is to include two different kinds of links from our distributed articles.  One of those link types will take the clicker to a landing page dedicated entirely to providing valuable information (and an opportunity to learn even more by signing up for our newsletter), while the other link category will direct the visitor to a product (or purchasing) page.  In these cases, our anchor text must make clear what to expect on the landing page.

When presented with these two options, I recommend the second.  I’ll explain why I believe that this approach is a workable solution, and then I’ll describe, in general terms, the landing page of each of those article links.

Remember that our distributed article attracted the readers because those readers intended to gather useful information.  If we want to entice them to click a link to actually come to our site, we must promise even more information that is pertient to them.  Of course, we always follow through with our promises or we shall immediately lose credibility.  Thus, our article marketing content must be interesting, accurate and informative, but it must leave the impression that we still have more to tell them.  We must subtly persuade them that our site will provide all the remaining necessary information, and we make sure that link delivers them to a content page.

At the same time, within the syndicated article, we let our readers know that once they have gathered all the information they need to make a buying decision, they will find the product or service that will solve their problems right there on our site.  By making the implication that our product or service will be their ultimate solution, even after they have gathered all the necessary information, we have justified linking to our product or money page.

It is always easier to logically include both types of links within our articles if we syndicate directly to websites that are within our general niche category; in those cases we can make our links contextual within the article, itself.  On the other hand, when we publish on article directories, we must make the connection between our informational link and our selling link more quickly as it must fit within our resource box and not within the article.

On of first type of linked page, we will move our prospects along the decision continuum.  We have already made progress by getting the readers to click the link in our syndicated article.  They are no long “just readers,” they have become serious prospects.  We shall offer them a link to the page where they can actually buy, but we focus primarily on getting them to take one more small step by asking for the contact information in exchange for the promise of even more valuable content.

In our syndicated article we use our content to sell our expertise.  On the linked page, we’re selling our credibility and integrity.  After they have signed onto our mailing list, we can actually begin selling our product by building our relationship with our new prospects and then more blatantly recommending our product or service.

The second type of link from our article marketing content leads directly to a product page.  Since the purpose of that link is primarily search engine optimization, it is especially important that our anchor (linking) text is at once an accurate description of the selling page and a useful long tail keyword with commercial intent.

As marketers, all of our efforts are toward increasing revenue through a sale.  As writers we must make the sale without disturbing the flow of our content.  First we sell the article readers on their need for more information and convince them that they can find that information by clicking our link.  Then, with the second link type, we need to demonstrate to the search engine spiders that we have provided link text that is an accurate name for the content that we have on our revenue producing page to which that link leads.  Thus our anchor text and the landing page content must be very similar.

Articles Have a Vital Role in Affiliate Marketing

Articles can play an important role when you are engaged in the business of affiliate marketing.  In affiliate marketing, you are paid a commission by a merchant when your efforts result into people visiting the merchant’s website and making a purchase.  Many people have been attracted to this kind of Internet marketing because you would not need to provide the services or have those products in your warehouse yourself.  All you have to do is to establish your own website, register as an affiliate for certain merchants, and develop an effective marketing campaign.  You will then have money coming in no matter where you are, once all of the pieces have been successfully set up.

Article marketing has important functions in the marketing of the merchant’s services or products.  One role is article marketing in which you have several articles that are related to the products or services of your affiliate merchant.  Relevant keywords and phrases are part of the articles in which you have also included an attractive byline.  Your affiliate link that has your code to make sure that you get your commission when a customer gets to purchase a product or service from the merchant through your link, is placed alongside the ad.  These articles are submitted to article directories for the particular category of the product or service to ensure that a substantial number of people will read your articles.

You may also use articles in the promotion of your actual website that also contains your affiliate link.  You also submit the articles to the directories but your purpose is to naturally create backlinks that will raise the search engine ranking of your site.  This will optimize your website traffic that will then enhance the possibility of directing more customers to the merchant.

Another strategy is to send your informative articles to various friends and other people whom you know.  Of course, you will have inserted your affiliate links in these articles, and this time, your goal is to use viral marketing.  The people who may recognize that your article has been helpful to them may distribute your article to their own acquaintances and this is expected to rapidly increase the number of people who read your articles.  This may cause an explosive growth in the number of people who will eventually click on your affiliate link.

Article marketing is, therefore, a potent tool for your affiliate marketing business.  Don’t worry if you think that you cannot write those articles yourself.  Affordable articles could be provided to you by article writing services.

Article Directories are Best for Article Marketing

To direct the maximum amount of traffic to your website, it is necessary to send your articles consistently.  Regularly submitting high-quality articles to article directories is a good start.  Do not send more than one article to the same directory per day, as some article directories may see this as spamming.

There are numerous article directories on the Web you can send your new articles to.  You can send your articles to the most widely used directories, as well as sending them to directories that focus on niche topics.  You can locate the second type of directory via Google, by typing in your keywords plus the additional phrase ‘ezine directory’.

Here are some of the top article directories on the Internet:

•    www.myarticlenetwork.com
•    www.ezinearticles.com
•    www.goarticles.com
•    www.articlebase.com
•    www.articlecity.com
•    www.articledashboard.com
•    www.ideamarketers.com
•    www.isnare.com
•    www.searchwarp.com
•    www.selfgrowth.com

Remember to check and recheck your articles for any errors in spelling, grammar, structure, etc.  Your article marketing efforts will benefit from making sure that your content is top-notch, while you ensure that the links and other details you provide in the resource box for each article are accurate.

Manually submitting articles to the directories one by one may prove to be tiresome after the first few times.  There are many automatic article submission programs you can download from the Internet at no cost, which will streamline the process for you and decrease the chances of any mistakes due to human error.

The Article Submitter from Brad Callen is a viable alternative.  The program fills necessary information in the pertinent fields by itself.  All the user has to do is click on ‘submit’ and go to the next website.  The aforementioned software saves time while displaying the Page Rank rating of the sites you send your articles to.

For a more automated article submission process, articlemarketer.com or isnare.com are recommended.  These websites will enable you to send your articles to numerous sites and directories and promote your articles, fast.

Isnare and Articlemarketer both charge rates for their article submitting services.  The rates you need to pay depend on the amount of content you want to send, with Articlemarketer’s annual rate coming at 9, and Isnare requiring to send 10 articles.  The latter allows a user to submit any number of articles.  The site also hosts a no-cost account, which can send your articles to a sizeable number of sites.

For people new to article marketing, or those who have limited means, Article marketer’s free account or Isnare is advised.  If you have the financial means and require sending a large number of articles, go with My Article Network it is the kind of the hill.

How Article Marketing Can Increase Your Online Sales

What is the best way to increase your online sales? How can I promote my website for free? What are the benefits of article marketing? Does article marketing work? These are questions that I am asked on a regular basis and are questions that I will be answering in this article.

I am a businessman from the UK who has various websites to promote the services that I provide. I am involved in providing stuttering treatments as well as with a company that offer a DVD duplication service. As like I am sure the majority of webmasters out there, I wanted to attract as many people as I could to visit and read the content of the websites. I started off by entrusting so called SEO experts with the job of promoting the site as I had little knowledge of the industry. The band SEO expert or web promotion expert is often used by many people who are basically scam artists as I have now found to my cost. As it turned out neither were they, despite their claims of being an SEO expert.

After some particularly bad experiences with these so called experts of the SEO industry and after wasting a great deal of money I decided to attempt to educate myself on the art of web promotion. This was about seven years ago and one of the first things I was to learn was about the power of article marketing. I started to write articles and was astonished with the results, I was gaining additional traffic that were coming directly from the articles and the websites were also obtaining higher search engine rankings.

Article marketing has stood the test of time and is still as beneficial today as it was seven years ago. The main thing that I like about writing articles as a form of web promotion is the fact that it is free!

I aim to write an average of one article per day and have managed to do this for the last two and a half years, the results speak for themselves.

Terrible Article Distribution Strategies

I make a lot of judgement calls in my online business, judging the output of other people.  We all do that, I guess, although perhaps in different ways.  We critique a sales page, a video or a trial version whenever we are deciding whether to buy a new information product or software application.  In doing a competition analysis, we are always judging elements of our competitors’ business website design or newsletters.  And some of us wear the critic’s hat when we outsource our own writing assignments or contract for a professional writing service.

I create all of my articles about Internet marketing (including article marketing) myself.  However, I hire free-lance authors for most of the other niches in which we compete.  In addition, I average about two dozen unsolicited articles per day from other marketers who want me to publish them on my sites in some of those other niches.

I have learned from some bad experiences with outsourced writers.  I have found the best of the best, finally, and I have trained them.  That saves me an immense amount of editing time, so I pay them far more than a typical writer would make.  However, of the unsolicited articles…I reject a substantial majority even though they come to me as free content.

My reasons for rejection are fairly consistent.  Here are the most frequent reasons for my rejections:

*  An astonishing number make absolutely no sense in English.  Any language, of course, is composed of its vocabulary and its grammar, and it is difficult to master both by taking a few years of apparently inadequate instruction.  It is certainly posssible that a writer may write brilliantly in her or his native language, but, without complete fluency in a second language, the writer will never be able to write effective marketing copy.  The writer (or the writer’s employer) needs to hire a native speaker of the language to edit (or even rewrite) the article.

*  A common, senseless mistake, is to have the article submitted to the wrong category (i.e., niche).    I have a business blog to which people submit suggested articles dealing with plasma televisions or planning your daughter’s wedding.  All the writers have to do is to put a business spin on their idea, somethat that could often be done with a little rewriting and an extra paragraph.  For example, one could write an article that I would accept about the best approaches to starting a wedding planning business.  A web author could switch the things to look for in a plasma TV to the best features in a plasma monitor to be used in business video presentations.  While I won’t guarantee that I would publish those articles, they would certainly make more sense than would the actual articles I received.

*  The articles are not well spun.  Since I spin articles, and have done so for years, I can easily spot an article that is not carefully or thoroughly spun.  No website can get any benefit from a poorly spun article or from publishing duplicate content.

Implicit in all of these reasons for rejection are the solutions to the problems.  Either write well in your targeted language, submit your article to the correct niche and use strict spinning standards, or contract with a professional web article writer who is well versed in Internet marketing.

Selecting Authors for Your Business’s Web Writing Needs

I think most business owners who operate only in the physical world would be astonished to know how much writing is required for an online business venture. Using the Internet for commercial purposes requires an immense amount of content. Whether we rely heavily on video or the written word, every utterance or sentence must be carefully crafted.

Your website is often the first contact a prospect has with your company. While web design and your actual product or service are essential, the quality of the expression of your words will have a huge impact upon the lingering impressions that your prospects have of your company. Therefore, you must be certain that the writers who are doing the work are the best that you are able to afford. This is no place to pinch pennies.

Many companies choose to meet their writing needs in house. However, many other companies are not well suited to the task of managing a staff of competent writers, who write carefully and research diligently. Many businesses, instead, contract their writing through free lance authors or by using the experience of an Internet article writing service. Some will go to guru.com, for example, or another website that facilitates the hiring of contract workers.

Out-sourcing writing can be a wise investment for most firms. Before you accept a writing service or individual free lance writer, however, take time to be sure that they have some reasonable understanding of the particular requirements of online businesses. Here are a few things to check:

1) Any writer should be properly trained, of course. Equally important is that the author is naturally fluent in the language of your target market. For example, I grew up primarily in the United States. I speak a couple of other languages, however, I would hire a British writer to at least edit my work if I were writing exclusively for a target market in the U.K. While we write (and speak) the same language, the idioms, slang and many casual expressions are very different.

2) Unless you narrow your search to only writers who are part of your industry, you will not find someone who is an expert in your field. In most cases, that is not a problem. However you do need to be certain that the writer has the research skills and the research ethic to be able to quickly learn what is necessary to learn to be able to communicate credibly with your prospects.

3) They must be able to write conversationally for the web. Writing for most Internet venues is very different from writing for an academic journal or composing a report for school.

4) The writers must understand your different business purposes for various kinds of articles. They should be able to verbalize the difference in objectives for writing for your website versus writing for article marketing uses.

5) Finally, the writers should not be confounded if you mention that they should optimize for a specific long tail key phrase. They ought to have some understanding of what SEO is.

All of these issues are more important than whether an article costs , or even 0. Ten poor articles do not have the impact on your success that one very good piece of prose will have.

Increase Your Affiliate Marketing Work

Being an affiliate or associate marketer is often a difficult enterprise.  There is much more to learn than most of us anticipated when we first started.  And the learning curve can be so steep that many simply give up.

The most frequent difficulty among failed or failing affiliate marketing enterprises is buying magical, secret plans and not putting them into action to see if they actually work.  Some are no more than buyers; they don’t even read the books or watch the videos they buy.  I hope that you are among those who will remain committed over the long haul, constantly improving your knowledge base and actually applying what you learn by taking action.  If not, please just stop reading, because you’ll simply waste money, and your business will fail, regardless.  I’m sorry for being so blunt.

There are two resources for affiliate marketers that I include in my recommendations.  One of those is a new approach to article marketing that automatically forwards your articles to many blogs as well as traditional websites, not just those you run yourself.  This system is a very valuable membership website called My Article Network.  Here I’m going to focus upon one use to which an affiliate marketer can put it, although the previous link will deliver you to a lengthier description of how the entire system works and may benefit you.

If you write an article for distribution via one or more article directories, your link is limited to the author’s resource box, usually placed at the bottom of the content.  With this new system, you can put up to three links directly into the article itself.  Contextual links are much more effective.  Furthermore, the top article directories (those with the most traffic, which are most likely to show up in the search engine directories) will not allow you to place a direct affiliate link into even the resource box.  However, this new, vastly improved approach allow you to use affiliate links that will go directly to the vendor, without having to send your hard-won traffic to your own site first.  You can get a feel for the whole process by visiting the site for this unique article marketing approach that will pre-spin your article so that unique versions are distributed to websites and blogs within your niche from their membership of over 10,000 websites.

The other resource is a complete educational system established exclusively for affiliate marketers who are owners of various size businesses as well as those preparing for a career in affiliate management.  This is a completely revamped reissue of Anik Singal’s famous AffiliateClassroom.  Singal, who was named as one of four Business Week Magazine’s young entrepreneurs of 2008, has spent two years, along with his partner, revamping the critically acclaimed program to make it even more expansive and comprehensive.  I strongly urge you to sign up for the complete information before all the spaces are taken.  No joke, this will fill very quickly.

As I write this, the product has not yet launched, so all you can do is sign up on the squeeze page to be continually updated.  Depending upon when you read this article, it is possible that it will have already sold out.  Check to see if they have established a waiting list.  If so, sign up and hope that a space for you opens.

Anticipating a question that I would ask, yes, both of these have affiliate programs, but you can’t use your own affiliate links to purchase either membership.  You must sign up for both prior to gaining access to the affiliate programs.

Make Money From Your Writing Skills

I am one of many people who have realised the many benefits that writing articles can bring. Article marketing is now widely recognised as an excellent way of promoting a website, however there are many more opportunities out there to make money for the budding writer.

I just happened to stumble across the idea of writing articles around eight months ago when I was discussing different forms of website promotion with a friend of mine. I was looking at ways in which I could attract more visitors to my own sites and he advised me to commence writing articles.

The advice was sound and I have not looked back since. Writing articles is a superb way of gaining extra one-way backward links to your site and the readers of each article are also potential visitors. I run a stuttering therapy website where I offer a speech course to enable people to achieve fluency. Thanks to the power of article marketing more and more people are able to gain access to quality stuttering and stammering advice. I also offer a DVD duplication service.

I attempt to write around seven articles per week which is not easy at times but is something I am aware will help my sites.

In each article I try to give advice and attempt to make them enjoyable for any potential reader.

There are other ways that people like myself, who enjoy to write can make money from their skills.

Other people are also aware of the benefits of article marketing but just do not have the time to write themselves. These people are always on the lookout for somebody to help them out, somebody who will write and submit an article for them. To become noticed or to get your name out there is very easy; there are a number of websites on the net which enable people to advertise the services that they offer for free.

You can also earn additional cash by writing freelance for mgazines and newspapers. If your skills are of a higher enough quality and what you write is of interest to a wide audience, there is no reason why you could not earn money in this way.

The power and need for content has never been so great. Webmasters are eager to purchase quality and original content as many of them do not have the time to create their own. There is a lot of rubbish being written on the web at the moment and quality will always stand out.

Many people might argue that they are not well enough educated to be accepted as a writer in certain quarters. This may well be correct for some people out there, however if you do not try you will never know. Content is king as they say and if your content is good enough and of interest, why would people have an issue with your lack of examinations etc.

Ensure that your content is easy to read and that all of the words are spelt correct. This is a great time to be a writer; I wish you all the best and enjoy all of that lovely dosh that you will earn.
