Turn Your Life Dreams Into Goals That Are Achievable
There is a great ancient Chinese saying that says that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. In order to turn your dreams into reality you must first turn them from dreams into achievable goals…
Starting the dream list:
Let’s start your personal goal-setting process now by listing a broad range of things you’d like to accomplish, experience, or own. Set no limits on their price or what you presently think your chances of ever achieving them are. This is a process I have used to accomplish writing my own small business marketing book and starting my own golf management firm so be sure to be one hundred percent honest with yourself.
On a sheet of paper right now, begin to write until you have one hundred things written down in front of you. Call it a Wish list, a Dream list, a Wants list, a What I Need List. It does not matter what you call it. Just pick up a pencil and write.
(Or you can copy and paste this article into your text editor like notepad and then fill in your answers.)

How much money would you like to earn per year?
What amount would provide for your family, with everything you need, plus ample left over for your life savings?
When do you plan to retire?
And how much money will you need to live on?
To be safe, do not forget to add at least four percent inflation per year! (Of course, I don’t think any of that retirement money ever goes to clothing.)
What type of physical shape would you like to be in?
How much would you like to weigh?
How many miles would you like to be able to cycle, swim or run with relative ease?

A trip to the buildings in New York City, London or Paris?
Perhaps you’d like to send your children to a private school or a special sports camp in the summer?
A cruise to the western Caribbean?
Maybe you would like to take your wife and kids to Disney World in Florida. (Just be careful not to go on It’s A Small World, you won’t be able to get that song out of your head for days!)

Turning dreams into goals.
Start your goal setting process by creating a list of dreams. Force yourself to write down 100 things before you go back and hone your list.
List all of the places you want to visit, life experiences you would like to have and toys you would like to own. List things you would like to accomplish in life, skills you would like to acquire and the amount of money you would like to make.
Detail the type of house you would like to own, the business or career you would like to create and the lifestyle you’d like your family to enjoy.
From this wonderful list pick the 10 most exciting things and add deadline dates for them. Next, go back and set intermediary or halfway goals for each. Finally, the last thing you must do is list short-term goals that will contribute to the success of the intermediary goals and ultimately the long-term goals.
There is no limit to the number of goals that you can set for yourself, just make sure you list only those that you are truly committed to achieving.
Reducing Stress Can Make You Happy
Taking too much of anything is bad for the health. A little bit of stress is actually healthy for you, as it could serve to help you function at your best. However, give yourself too much stress and it could take a physical, as well as mental, toll to your body. Stress should be managed in order for anxiety or depression to be prevented.
You may be asking yourself how should I do this then? The following are tips and advice to help in managing and preventing stress.
Write it out, schedule it out, and above everything else, try to relax.
It is wise to write down all the things that seems to be beyond your reach. You will find a things-to-do-list much easier to manage than having errands all piled up all over the house. Writing down your ideas, and putting a specific schedule and time to do them, helps you to manage activities one piece at a time. Crossing out a duty that has already been accomplished is very rewarding and could actually help you feel more relaxed when busy doing the other tasks at hand.
Focus,relax, and take it slow.
At least, try not to expell too much energy on activities that are currently not priorities. This is in order for your energy to be not easily expended on the tasks that are not that important, at least for now.
Delegate, delegate, delegate.
You need not do it all at once, and you need not do all of your tasks on your own. Ask for guidance, get help, or pay for help. When there is a feeling of being overwhelmed that is cropping up, hire someone to weedwack the yard or have grandma come over for your children. The feeling of being pressed to complete something on time will somehow be eliminated if tasks are delegated. It takes a load off unnecessary worry and anxiety. Moreover, it is easier checking up on how things are going, than worrying yourself sick doing everything on your own, all at once.
Give yourself a well deserved reward.
make sure to give yourself a pat on the back. Furthermore,it is completely necessary that before getting on to the next tasks and activities, no matter how big or small, to acknowledge your efforts and accomplishments. It reduces stress and could even put you in a better mood for doing the next task.
make sure to give yourself a breather.
You require it to be more focused. A ten to fifteen minute break during your work is necessary. Go visit a café nearby, take a brisk walk, or do anything in getting your mind off work, this will be very beneficial for you. This is necessary to refresh and recharge. Believe it or not, you can also take some time at work and relax with your eyes closed as you visualize a peaceful landscape or a relaxing scene. If you like you can hum your favorite tune. This frees the tension from your muscles and your mind.
Relax and be cool. This can work wonders and can make you healthier, happier, and a lot more productive.
