Bringing Memories to Life
Many of us possess many treasured photo albums that with just the flip of a page allows us to walk down memory lane once more that we have long since traversed. Dipping in and out of memories as though it all happened only yesterday – until we realise abruptly that our treasured memories are, in fact, from years ago, and we no longer remember where that snap shot was taken, or what year is encapsulated there in paper form. Logging all of your photographs in a scrapbook is the best way to rekindle those special memories, though it might be easy to write a brief note upon the back of our photographs.
The use of scrapbooks is a wonderful way for raising the storage of photographs and other memorabilia up to a more personal level. There is little doubt that retaining keepsakes from important events or occasions is the ideal way to recapture the essence of a particular moment once it has passed us by in time, but it is only in using a scrapbook that the story really comes to life. Our precious memories often wither in old shoeboxes, where they are clumped together into confused bundles and loose their special significance. Gathering our memories into a scrapbook allows us to suffuse fresh life into them once more, and bequeath the joy we once shared to a whole new generation.
A scrapbook, which can store particular items that capture the meaning behind the memories, is nothing less than our own storybook. The straw you kept from your very first date with the man you’ve now been married to for over twenty years, that’s a precious memory, but think how the memory of that date comes alive when you scrapbook that straw with a photograph of the new couple, and include your thoughts from that special night. Which digital camera is best for me is the first question that we all ask ourselves when we are first considering to invest in a digital camera. What are you looking for in a camera?
Once you have decided to move to the digital era you want to decide on which camera will suit your particular needs. There are a variety of types of cameras, not to mention manufacturers, on the market today for you to choose from.
Some of the cameras on the market today include the AF SLR Series, Digital Compacts, Film Compacts, Direct Vision, etc. You can purchase cameras today with camcorders built-in for small movie projects, or cameras that include a phone. You will undoubtedly be amazed at the choices available to you when you begin your search?
At a formal time we discussed film and digital compact cameras, as well as the AF SLR series, today we are going to discuss the Direct Vision Cams along with a few other models. Photography Lighting
Whether capturing photos of products or shooting portraits or other images. Achieving great photos of publishable quality, does require some photographic ability whether natural or learned. Photographers often utilize photography equipment such as muslin backdrops and photo lighting kits or lighting stands to highlight the subject. Often times a back light or fill light will be employed as well to eliminate any shadowing affects in the background of the images.
Pro photographers often choose strobe or flash studio lighting for there lighting source, particularly with taking modeling shots or with portraiture. The use of strobe or flash lighting requires the synchronized timing of the camera’s shutter to work in time with the flash to produce great shots.
Though for some photography enthusiasts, they can also choose to utilize a different type of photo lighting equipment such as continuous lighting. This type of photo studio lighting is found in Fluorescent and Halogen photography equipment. Commonly referred to as “hot lights” these are very easy to use in comparison to flash lighting which requires synchronization. Moving the light stands for placement, photographers only need to switch on the lights and they are ready to shoot.
Halogen studio lighting burns brightly and has a tendency to create a considerable amount of heat in doing so. If you use this type of continuous lighting, the heat in your home or studio will not only rise but your electric bill will rise as well. In contrast, fluroescent studio lighting requires less electricity and produces virtually no heat. With that stated, they don’t burn as brightly as halogen bulbs. To counter that, photographers who want to use fluorescent for it’s coolness and energy efficiency simply choose a higher wattage lighting kit to overcome any luminosity differences in output.
The various choices for photographers with the availability of modern photography studio lighting equipment have been greatly improved in both quality and options. Digital photo lighting kits for example are available in both fluorescent and halogen forms to keep pace with advancements in the age of digital photography.
