Your Child is Being Corrupted by Spongebob Squarepants!

It’s been a long time since we first met Spongebob Squarepants in 1999, though there doesn’t seem to be much talk about the awful things he continues to do to our poor little childrens’ minds on a daily basis.

Where are the throngs of protesters chanting catchy slogans? Where is the Senatorial debate? Why do we not see masses of protestors with signs and torches when we need them to come to our aid?

Spongebob is a sea sponge that lives in a pineapple at the bottom of the ocean in a town called “Bikini Bottom”.

It is easy to point out many different things that are wrong with this one sentence that really should cause you to think about what Spongebob is teaching children!

- Spongebob looks like a yellow kitchen sponge and not a sea sponge at all, though both his parents do look much more like sea sponges

- He lives in a pineapple that never biodegrades

- The towns’ name is a sexual innuendo

- Bikini Bottom is also a reference to Bikini Atoll, an area devastated by the USA in the 1940s and 50s by nuclear weapons testing

With that one simple sentence about the show we have already come across some major issues, and yet nobody says a word and we continue to allow our children to watch. With every episode of the show you watch, you will find more and more things that will damage your childrens’ developing minds.

Many of the characters at different times have used fire underwater; like a campfire.

Many characters head down to the “Goo Lagoon” beach for swimming and sunbathing… underwater. One surfer fish named “Scooter” DIED at Goo Lagoon because he was buried in sand up to his neck and nobody dug him out before high tide came in and drowned him! (Spongebob Season 2: Episode Name: Bubble Buddy)

Scooter does return in later episodes, alive.

The various fish-based characters drive boats as cars and ride bicycles with multiple rotating paddles as wheels.

Spongebobs’ neighbor is “Squidward Tentacles” the octopus… though he has 6 tentacles instead of the correct number of either 8 for an octopus or 10 for a squid. Squidward the octopus likes to play his clarinet… underwater.

“Mr. Krabs” is a crab that owns the “Krusty Krab” restaurant, and he has a daughter named “Pearl”… who is a Sperm Whale.

Across the street from the Krusty Krab is the “Chum Bucket” restaurant owned by “Sheldon J. Plankton” whom everyone refers to as just “Plankton”. Plankton is in fact not “planktonic” (drifting in sea waters), but is “benthic” (living on the ocean floor), and is married to…. a computer named “Karen”, whom in the Spongebob movie states that she never agreed to marry Plankton.

And now Spongebob has moved from your television into the real world.

I currently reside with my lovely wife and two wonderful children just outside St. Paul MN, and we sometimes go to Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. We have taken the children to the renamed “Camp Snoopy” which is now “Nickelodeon Universe”, and there you can find many references to Spongebob throughout the amusement park. On occasion they even have a person dressed as Spongebob walking around greeting children, and they can also have their photo taken with him.

What more proof do we need that Spongebob is a conspiracy to brainwash our children and make them think that all the anomalies I pointed out above are to be considered “normal” or “acceptable”?

Is all we care about mindless entertainment being being pumped into our systems 24hrs a day? We are being trained that we don’t have to think for ourselves or wonder about what might really be the important goings-on in the world; and instead we should just sit back, watch “American Idol” and consume, obey and reproduce.

I took a quick break from my Sony digital camera repair work and just finished watching my Spongebob Season 3 box set, and will purchase season 4, 5, 6 etc. shortly… for research purposes only I assure you. I will report back with my findings after watching them all… a few times… with my kids by my side because they love that sponge and we watch the show daily. Now I need to get back to some Canon digital camera repair work or I won’t be able to buy that new Spongebob box set!

I can’t wait for the new Spongebob movie to come out? I can’t wait to see it!

Spongebob Subliminal Messages Exposed

There are thousands of examples of Spongebob subliminal messages and this article will highlight just a few of them.

Spongebob Squarepants is an immensely popular children's cartoon. it grew in popularity very quickly and is now watched around the world - by children and adults alike.

It is one of the few cartoons apart from perhaps the Simpsons which appeal to both adults and children. This is due to the clever writing i.e. it is enjoyable for children, but it also has adult based jokes to keep the older generations entertained. Apparently this is the factor that ensures it is enjoyed by teenagers and grown ups too.

In the theme tune there are allegedly subliminal statements if you play the song in reverse. There are videos which show this and the messages which have been found include the phrases:

  • Squidward smokes dope
  • Sh** on your multiple cannibal heart
  • Show me your p***y you son of a hun

Pretty strange huh? But this is nothing compared to the sexual and homosexual innuendos and hidden messages in the episodes themselves. Here are some examples:

There is a famous video of a scene with Mr Krabs, and apparently he says “Any Po*n in this store?”. This is perhaps not technically a subliminal message, as it is said forwards, it is just blurred and debatable what he is actually meant to be saying. Perhaps this is just an example of the voice actor making his mark on the show?

There are other clips, in fact there are several videos showing the various innuendos and hidden messages throughout the show. Once you know what to look out for you will see phallic symbols everywhere. There are plenty of adult sexual references, and characters calling each other homosexual. To see these videos please visit our subliminal messages video blog.

Some subliminals are questionable, and although the messages in Spongebob are sometimes not even very “subliminal” there is nothing questionable about them. There actually are several layers with different meanings in any given episode. i.e. children watching it will see one thing, and adults will understand it on a higher level – more genius than manipulative if you ask me.
