Online Marketing Strategies
Many people start their internet marketing career with Adwords and quickly realize just how difficult it is to do well at. It is not that it is hard but it does require careful monitoring and tracking. Many product makers would have you believe that you need to know some information that nobody else knows. The truth is that within the training manuals and help Google provides you have most things you require. Of course there are some tools and software that can automate many processes and make life easier such as the bid automation tool created by Dr Mike Woo-Ming called PPC Evolution, but everything else is provided to you.
One of the major mistakes new advertisers make is that they throw up a largely untargeted group of keywords and send as much traffic as they can to it. This is unlikely to work and will probably see you work through your budget very quickly. Instead try and make everything relevant to each keyword group. You should be able to compile keywords into a set of general themes which you can then target individually with different landing pages and adverts. You should get a much higher click through rate and much better conversion figures this way.
The other major error is not tracking your statistics to see exactly what is working. More than likely you will have some keywords that give you sales and others that cost too much and give you no sales. Without careful monitoring you will not know which ones are delivering for you and will be losing valuable revenue. Tracking your campaigns can be automated and made simple. You can create a spreadsheet with each keyword and match this up to the sales figures. This will show you how much it is costing to make each sale and whether it is worth ditching the word or not. Stick within these guidelines and you should get a much higher return on ad spending. Also you may like to check out a tool like the one found at PPC Evolution review to give you a head start over the competition but you should get a grasp of the system before you try this. A great course to start is called Google Conquest.

Tips On How To Grow Your Current Traffic
Having a website is just the start, promoting it and getting traffic is the next step. You may already be familiar on how to get traffic and links, but what this guide is going to do is teach you how to grow the traffic you already have.
Do you know that social bookmarking alone can easily get you over 1,000 unique visitors a day, at least 60% – 75% of the traffic will be targeted.
If you regularly submit your blog posts to social bookmarking sites it’s very easy to build a following, if someone likes your content then they will subscribe to your rss feed which means they will be back on a regular basis to read your posts. If they really like your posts then there is a high chance they will mention one of your articles on there site which will get you more traffic.
If you have already started to link build and draw traffic to your site then it would be a good idea to take a look at your Awstats, note all the sites that provide you traffic even if it is the odd one or two visitors.
With each site on your list spend a few minutes visiting it and see if there is anyway to increase the traffic from that site to yours, take a look at where your link is displayed on there site, the chances are if they are already linking to your site it should be easy enough to get another link.
I write a lot of articles so usually the sites that link to me are sending me traffic through my articles, if a particular site is sending me traffic and I won’t to increase it I could get in contact with the blog owner and provide them with more articles of the same quality. The blog owner should agree to that as I will be providing them with unique articles written to a high standard. Never use article rewriting software as you will never get a high quality rewritten article, if you won’t to speed up article writing then use voice software.
Try to visit all the sites that provide you traffic as it will be easy to get them to provide you with another link if they are already linking to you.
One of the top ways of increasing traffic and a very popular way with myself is article sharing. This is where a user like myself will write good content for a particular subjects and the blog that publishes my article will publish it along with three links back to my site. The three links will convert the traffic reading the article to my site and I can make the links SEO to help increase my search engine position.
Traffic is key to getting sales, it doesn’t matter how you get traffic aslong as you can maintain it. I have a process which I regularly do several times a week to help increase traffic, I use websites that are known for providing me with traffic and post on similar site or try and increase the traffic from that particular site.
Theres so many methods available to you which are free and can help increase traffic, you’ve probably seen the methods listed so many times before but I will briefly list them again. Free Ads Can Bring Traffic and Sales
Many webmasters will tell you that the days of free advertising on the Internet are long gone. Though it's most likely the case that paid advertising works more effectively, free advertising is by no means dead.
There are many forms of free advertising, such as forum signatures, viral ebooks, and article marketing, which is indeed proof that free advertising is not dead. But for the purpose of this article, we will be focusing on one simple, easy method only, using free classified ad sites and forums.
When it comes to placing free ads, it’s largely just a numbers game. The more ads you have circulating, the better the results. And there are tons of places to post ads. One good thing about a lot of free ad sites is that you can post your ads over and over again. Most free ad forum sites will let you bump your ad to the top by replying to the you’ve posted. This can save a lot of time and effort.
It's easy to find sites to post your free ads. You can use Google or basically any search engine to do searches for terms such as free ads, free classifieds, free advertising forums, etc.
Posting ads consistently is the trick to being successful with free advertising. Giving up after a few ads, won’t cut it. If you track your results, you’ll quickly learn which sites and what times are the most effective for placing ads. Getting a feel for the best sites to post ads will save tons of time and make your life easier.
Ultimately, what it is you are offering will largely determine how successful your free advertising campaigns will be. Promoting an offer that either has a wide appeal or is free, or better stiil both, will most likely bring the greatest results. A lot of the traffic at most free advertising sites is comprised of other advertisers, who are there to post their own ads, so having an offer that appeals to them is a good idea. If you are offering something related to advertising, particularly free advertising, your ad will very likely be successful.
While posting free ads may not be the most effective traffic generator, it can certainly be effective enough to start pulling in some good targeted traffic, especially if you make the effort to do it on a consistent basis. Using this method with several other forums of free promotion, like social bookmarking, forum signatures, article submissions, offline advertising, etc., it is quite possible to get a brand new or unnoticed site off ground in just a few short months.
How I Use Free Ads to Get Traffic and Sales
To tell you the truth, I really feel sort of silly using free advertising forums, as they seem a bit ridiculous. But the truth is I’ve found that they actually do bring consistent traffic and sometimes even a few sales.
Many of these free online advertising sites get tons of traffic. So if you get in the habit of posting to them regularly, you ads will certainly at least get seen, and you just might be a little shocked at the results.
Other than writing killer ad copy, there are no big secrets to making it work, but here are a few little tricks I use to maxmize my results:
First of all, if the forum allows it, I always make a “mega-thread.” This just means that I make a thread with one of my ads in it, and then I keep coming back and replying to that same thread over and over again with the same ad or a similar one. This of course pushes it to the top of the forum which is exactly where you want your ads to be. Not only that, it accumulates the most views and has the most replies as compared to the single ad threads, thus making it look really popular.
Another little trick is to rate your own threads at highest rating (normally five stars) which helps give the appearance of credibility.
And finally, I reply to others’ popular threads with my own ads, thus increasing my exposure.
I find that the two main keys to success when posting to free ads forums is to use great ad copy and to just be consistent and keep coming back to post my ads whenever I get the chance. There is automatic forum posting software that makes it breeze too. Otherwise it can get a little tedious at times. However, if you don’t want to use software to post ads, you can used tabs in your browser and keeps a bunch of tabs open with all of your forums.
Another thing I do is mix in posting ads to free classifieds sites along with the forum sites. Like the forums, some of these classfied ads sites also have huge traffic. They might as well be looking at your advertisement.
There’s something else worth considering here as well. The backlinks from these classified sites and forums do count, at least a lttle bit anyway, when it comes to SEO. These are not necessarily the most high-value links you can get of course, but they sure beat having no backlinks when your site is new or you are just getting started. The more popular ones are always getting spidered by the search engines. So using anchors with good keywords for your links can’t hurt a bit.
One final thought I have: I haven’t tried this yet myself, but one were to get a profitable system down with the free advertising sites, it would then be possible to outsource the ad posting and really crank up the heat. There’s a lot of dirt-cheap freelancers and virtual assistants around. Well it’s something that might be worth trying.
